Therapy for the feet, knees, legs, and hips using a combination of therapy ball to release tension, and stretching and mobilization to improvement movement of the lower body.
Maximum: 18 students
Need a whole body tune up? Achy from all your summer activities, e.g., cycling, running, swimming, golfing, canoeing, gardening? Wanting to do more for your body, e.g., recover faster from injury, improve performance?
These three self-therapy workshops will help you live better in your body. You will learn how to use self-massage with therapy balls and various exercises and techniques to improve movement.
Sep 13 1:30 pm to 3 pm: Tame the Shoulders -- we will work through the shoulder girdle, arms and down to the fingers. Great for people who work at desks, or golfers who want to improve their swing.
Sep 14 1:30 to 3 pm: Find your Balance -- we will integrate the hips, legs, and feet so that you can walk better, run better, and reduce risk of damaging falls. If you have hips, legs and feet, this one is for you.
Sep 15 1:30 to 3 pm: Awaken the Core -- no crunches involved. You will learn how to activate the core and integrate it with other parts of the body to enhance movement. The diaphragm and breathing is king so this one is for everyone.
