Julie began her exploration of yoga back in the ’70’s, and her keen interest has led her to explore by-ways and highways in the multifarious aspects of Yoga. After years in formal ashram settings, Julie’s deep curiosity led her to explore a variety of somatic approaches to aid her in finding more congruent ways in yoga practice and teaching. She also sought, and continues to seek out, innovative Yoga teachers that profoundly influence her Yoga practice and teaching.
Julie is known for her ability to create a safe container in order that students can intelligently explore embodied awareness. With a deep respect for stability and alignment while challenging perceived limitations, independent step-by-step skill-building is encouraged.
Julie enjoys teaching a wide variety of people of all ages and those with specific life challenges.
