Summer Retreat with Basia

August 20, 21, 22 - (Friday - Sunday), 2 nights (Fri, Sat)

Friday

5:30pm - 7:00pm

Dinner

7:30pm - 9:00pm

Evening program (Yin / Restorative)                              

Yes, there will be a treat to top off the dinner. A local Le Cordon Bleu pastry sheff is making us a fabulous Cake.

Release tension in your back, hips and shoulders. Some of the work will be long held, some with be gently pulsating to open up what is well established but no longer serves you.

Saturday

8:00am - 9:00am

Light Breakfast

10:00am - 12:30pm

Morning: Belly work - soften, strengthen - Bandhas

12:30pm - 1:30pm

Lunch

2:30pm - 4:30pm

Afternoon: Freeing Shoulders & Neck

5:30pm - 7:00pm

Dinner - plus yet another great pastry!

Evening program (meditation / bonfire)

Belly work: suggestion - do not eat too much for breakfast...

We will be coring out the core - tension, adhesions, and variety of patterns of holding. Freeing the guts to do what they are meant to do. We will dig in to uncomfortable corners, and leave behind softness. Once we open up some space, we will tone the support system to keep the core vibrant. Why not, it is our center of the universe after all!

Freeing the Shoulders & Neck:

We will use variety of tools to get those tight areas to sing again: therapy balls, elastic bands, blocks, straps and lots of imagination. We will work the area to soften it - then strengthen it. Fluid, strong, free of pain. Time to let go of the bag we are carrying!

Sunday

7:30am - 9:00am

Morning program: Vibrant Flow with focus on Hips

12:30pm - 1:30pm

Lunch

Hips hips hips.... - Before the flow, we will work with some tools to get into the stubborn spots. We will then massage them with some pulsating motions to prepare the space. Then we will flow... breathing, pusating, taking the hips through a rainbow of configurations....

Practice Space: Outdoor Shala, fully screened & roofed.

Vegetarian Meals:


Breakfast: coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, granola, fruits, good breads, spreads of all kinds

Lunch: soups, salads, hot sandwiches, whole grain rice or quinoa.

Dinner: Indian, Thai, Mexican, Italian - plus fresh salads from the garden & great breads from local bakeries ....

Meals served in the Main House

Fabulous tipis (sleeps three or four) - wood floors, fully dressed beds, electricity, and... wireless internet - yey!
